Texas A&M mascot Reveille X recovering after eye surgery following glaucoma diagnosis

Texas A & M Mascot wins X has undergone a successful surgery to withdraw his right eye after receiving a diagnosis of glaucoma, said President of the University Mark Welsh in a statement. The mascot corporals have noticed that Wellet felt “discomfort and trouble” in the eyes, which has worsened over time. Texas A & M veterinarians Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital recommended the procedure.
During surgery, the veterinary team found an abnormal fabric and removed the eye from prudence. The fabric was sent to an eye pathologist for evaluation, by standard protocol. Welsh said that Wellet had been released and “rested comfortably”.
“Our priority is his health and well-being, and we are fortunate to have access to the veterinary team remarkably talented and attentive Texas A&M who will continue to monitor Miss Rev on her recovery track,” Welsh said in a statement. “She will take a brief interruption of commitments while she is fully recovering. According to her veterinary team, we can expect Miss Review to take advantage of all her favorite activities – by cruise on Revre Force One, by following lessons, by encouraging the Aggies and keeping our squirrels on the online campus – this fall.”
Known as the first lady of Agrieland, wakes up X assumed her role in April 2021. The rough American coat in sand and white came to Texas A & M of Juell Collies in Topeka, Kansas, who is the same breeder who has already donated the waked VIII.
The official Texas A&M mascot, wakes up, has been a darling tradition since 1931, when students adopted the first mixed dog. Known as the most high -end member of the Texas A&M CODETS, BOUNDE holds five silver diamonds, symbolizing its unique status. Over the years, the mascot has evolved, the second wake up being a Shetland shepherd dog and all the subsequent mascots being rough collies of pure breed.
When a wake up dies, it is honored with a burial in a special cemetery outside the northern zone of Kyle Field.
