The night vision in smartphones has long been synonymous with granular images in black and white, often requiring infrared lighting to operate.
The Fossibot F107 PRO claims to challenge this status quo with what it calls “Starlight Night Vision”, a technology that promises color visibility in almost total darkness.
The heart of the height of the F107 Pro is its ability to capture color images in lighting conditions as low as 0.0005 lux.

This feat is supposed to be achieved thanks to a large-scale lens and an ultra-sensitive sensor which uses ambient light sources like the stars and the dispersed moon clair.
If it works as announced, it could be useful for land in the field or extreme outdoor users.
But it is worth asking how frequency of perfect low light conditions align in the use of the real world, and if typical users will experience the type of visual clarity that the device present in marketing equipment.
In terms of photography specifications, the robust smartphone certainly does not hold back.
A 200 MP main camera and a 50 MP wide angle macro lens make an ambitious configuration, while a 32 MP front camera rounds video calls or vlogging.
Although the large sensor numbers do not always guarantee image quality, processing software and the quality of the objective also play a crucial role.
And with robust phones, the optimization of the camera is often where manufacturers cut the corners in favor of sustainability.
On the performance side, the F107 Pro works on the Dimensy 7300 5G processor of Mediatek and has up to 30 GB of RAM (with virtual memory extension) and 512 GB of storage on board, expandable to 2 TB.
This is enough power to perform several tasks, store extensive multimedia files or run demanding commercial smartphone applications.
The phone also carries a huge battery of 28,000 mAh, which seems more aligned on the robust tablet territory.
Although impressive, it also means a heavier and larger device that daily users can find less practical.
This device is physically resilient, and it is built to survive the drops, dust, water and extreme temperature with the MIL-STD-810H certification and the IP68 / IP69K odds.
The F107 PRO may not replace a flagship product for occasional users, but it is certainly designed to compete on the niche market of ready -made devices.
