Gridlock in Hawaii as People Flee to Higher Ground After Tsunami Warning
Gridlock broke out on motorways in Hawaii on Tuesday after warnings from Tsunami who sent people fleeing on higher grounds.
Photos and videos of The Gridlock broke out on social networks on Tuesday, showing cars wrapped on Maui and Oahu – which houses the most populous cities.
Homeland Security and President Trump brought a Tsunami warning for Hawaii and Alaska following an 8.8 amplitude earthquake off the coast of Russia.
“Please note that there is a Tsunami warning in force for Hawaii. There is also a tsunami watch for Alaska and the west coast of the United States. Find high land and stay safe,” the DHS said in a statement.
