Trump to Set Tariffs Before Midnight Deadline

The White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt at a press conference on Thursday said that President Donald Trump would sign an executive decree imposing new prices on business partners who will take effect on Friday.
Leavitt said that the signing of the decree will take place at “a moment given this afternoon or later tonight”. She said that on August 1, the “reciprocal rates will have entered into force”.
Bloomberg wrote:
Prices are specific rates to the country that the president announced for the first time in April, but took a break twice to grant more time for negotiations with dozens of savings. Trump has concluded agreements with the main business partners, such as the European Union, the United Kingdom, Japan and South Korea, and has set rates unilaterally on others, including India and Brazil. We do not know how many orders that Trump will have to sign to promulgate new politicians.
The plans remain fluid on how the United States will manage the many nations which have not concluded a price agreement with Trump. The president previously declared that around 150 countries would receive a letter imposing general tasks of around 10% to 15%, but Leavitt ceased to say that it remained the plan.
Leavitt said,
There are a lot of countries I know that have reached out. There are more than 200 countries around the world that have contacted the sales and price team. Of course, I said previously and the president said that we will prioritize our main business partners, which we have done, as I said, on 18 thirds of those with which we have concluded these tailor -made agreements, but I know that the sales team worked 24 hours a day to be in correspondence with as many countries as possible.
“The rest of these countries which have no contract or which have a letter, they will hear this administration by the midnight deadline tonight,” she noted.
