ACC strength of schedule rankings 2025: Navigable road for Bill Belichick, steep climb ahead at Florida State

1 A year after their schedule was baptized as the most favorable of the league in these rankings, Syracuse is now at the other end of the conference rotation. Fortunately, Fran Brown conceded last year’s slate with a season of 10 wins because the team could still be close to the same caliber and always find a stage in terms of final record. Orange not only have the draw for the most difficult conferences with the road matches in Clemson, Smu and Miami, but will also face Tennessee and Notre Dame far from their home in the game without conference. 2 Florida State is faced with a calendar that could include up to four Top 25 opponents of the pre -season – depending on where the voters rank Rival Florida. Be that as it may, the seminoles will certainly face three teams with legitimate hopes of university football playoffs in Alabama, Miami and Clemson. But given the total victories screened by Florida State, the program does not start the season among this group of contenders. The Boston College may not be a competitor in the playoffs itself, but it could always have a word to say in the CFP race. 6 Clemson cannot play himself, but he must play many other top teams in ACC as well as an opening match of the season against LSU and his Rivalery Week final in South Carolina. The Tigers have a revenge match of the title AC with SMU during week 8, an opportunity for revenge against Louisville in week 12 and few opponents who should be near the League. The Mustangs did exactly that, going 8-0 to conference and by making the ACC championship match as well as the CFP. Now things are a little more difficult, with Clemson and Miami turning on the calendar to associate with Louisville for a difficult draw. The slate without conference could also be delicate, with SMU in the face of enemies in the Baylor and TCU state before the end of September. 9 A manageable start for the 2025 calendar really opens in week 8, because Louisville will have seven consecutive games to close the season without weeks. This race includes road dates against Miami and SMU as well as high -level home matches against Clemson and Kentucky. The calendar -free part offers a possibility of stacking victories (Eastern Kentucky, JMU, Bowling Green), but this is balanced by one of the most difficult league conference prints. 10 Notre Dame returns to the Pitt calendar because one of the great rivalries of the 20th century is renewed for the 73rd time. But then, the calendar sheds light on, and the Hokies will have a chance to really accelerate the most difficult games ACC. “Entrance Sandman” could be the X-FACTOR in Virginia Tech’s ACC record in 2025, because there is no Clemson or SMU on the calendar and the two most difficult challenges (Louisville and SMU) will make the trip to Blacksburg. 12 There are two intimidating road trips on the calendar of NC State – first opposite Notre Dame in South Bend as a seventh consecutive game without a week off, then moves to play Miami at Hard Rock Stadium in November. But the Wolfpack catches beautiful breaks that could help their final record. They do not play in Clemson, SMU or Louisville in the conference and obtain some of the most difficult conference opponents (Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Florida State) at Carter-Finley Stadium. 13 Nine of the 11 Duke FBS opponents were Bowl teams last season, but apart from Clemson, the Blue Devils do not face the competition exactly. Duke does not play Miami, Louisville or SMU this season and obtains his most difficult non -conference (Illinois) opponent in Durham. There are quirks of the calendar that could be difficult, such as the cross-country trip with road matches in Syracuse and Cal in consecutive weeks, but Duke should feel good in his ability to compete and win against most of his schedule. 14 This can be a little low when travel problems are taken into account, because there are some places on the calendar where the Bears cross several time zones without a stop week. There is a San Diego race in Boston in Berkley in the first half of the season, then a pinging tour of Berkley in Blacksburg in Berkley in Louisville from mid-October. In terms of adversaries, there is no Clemson or Miami, and Minnesota is the most difficult conference draw, but navigating in the season will not be “easy” by any section. 15 The first year of the Bill Belichick era attracts a lot of attention and excitement from the outside. There is also an opportunity to hit the floor while running with a favorable draw of the conference. The Tar Heels get a week off before welcoming Clemson and another goodbye afterwards to recover. They then undoubtedly avoid the next three most difficult teams in the League (Miami, SMU, Louisville). The margins can be thin for a list which has been completely recharged with transfers and real first -year students, but North Carolina will not be classified when it will descend the bus most of the Saturdays. 16 This is a strong calendar of the year 1 for Jake Dickert because it offers great development opportunities at the start and at the end of the season. Kennesaw State and Western Carolina are the first two opponents out of the door, then the deacons of the demon will welcome Delaware in November between the rivalry matches against North Carolina and Duke. There is no Clemson, Miami or Louisville on the slate, and the SMU game is at home after a bye. If this team can win as a favorite, fly a few pieces of parts and upset, it could be a big rebound season for the program. 17 A busy off -season aligned with one of the most favorable hours to set up what could be the long -awaited breakthrough of coach Tony Elliot with the program. Virginia calls on 31 players per portal (it did not take 22 in total in the previous two seasons) and faces a calendar that lacks Clemson, Miami and SMU. The most difficult non-conference game is actually against an ACC peer in NC state, so if Virginia can contain a favorite, it may need one or two upheavals to be eligible for the first time since 2021.
