The Texas Republicans proposed a redistribution plan, supported by President Donald Trump, who would create five other republican seats in the House of American Representatives – a practice known as Gerrymandering.
The proposal occurs long before the lines of the congress should be redesigned, after the next American census.
Consequently, several democratic states such as California, New York and Illinois said they were also making their own efforts to redraw their districts to create more democratic seats.
But what is gerrymandering and how does it work? The BERND DEBUSMANN of the BBC takes a look at the practice with a sweet analogy.
