Dad Shaves Beard Off for First Time in 15 Years, Toddler Is ‘So Confused’

A Texas woman shared images from the moment when her 2 -year -old daughter saw her father without a beard for the first time in 15 years.
Kelsy Salvaggio said Nowsweek Her husband John did not plan to shave her beard that day. “We just had a slow day, no plans, my husband needed a haircut, so I told her to shave her face to see if the baby would recognize it,” she said.
Their sage daughter, 2 years old, had never seen John without beard before.
Salvaggio said the idea was inspired to see videos of parents doing similar things with their young children. “We have seen a bunch of online baby reaction videos and John has not seen his face for 15 years, so we were like” OK, let’s do it, it will grow back. “”
Sage was certainly surprised by his father’s new look. In a video published on Tiktok under the handle @ Kelsy_rae13, Salvaggio captured the surprised reaction of his daughter to see his fatherless father of the face. Salvaggio said: “My daughter probably thought:” Who is this human and why does Dada look like. “She was probably so confused.”
The presence of a beard can often influence the way an individual is perceived. What could surprise it is that the presence of a beard is observed in a positive light. In a 2014 study published in the journal Psychology, the participants received a series of experimental questions as well as two facial photographs. One was with a bearded face while the other had not passed.
The participants were then invited to choose what they perceived as more reliable in the context of the question. The results revealed that the participants were more likely to choose bearded faces as trustworthy.
Sage had certainly got used to his father to have a beard, which explains his reaction. It was an answer which, according to Salvaggio’s video, left her husband John feeling a “little harm”. Unfortunately, Sage was not the only one to hate the new look, at the start. “My reaction was almost the same as babies,” said Salvaggio. “It was difficult to look at him for the first 15 minutes.”
Fortunately for John, the initial shock to see his razed own father dissipated for sage. “She is certainly used now,” said Salvaggio.
However, it is not because she got used to what John will remain without beard in the predictable future.
It seems that mom wants things to come back in their way of going, with John sporting a beard. “We are growing up definitively,” she said. “He now has a skin and starts to look normal.”
