‘Fake nurse’ who saw 4,000 patients arrested in Florida

A woman was arrested in the United States suspected of pretending to be an authorized nurse.
A police investigation was launched after the hospital’s bosses ended the Bardisa autumn contract due to concerns about its qualifications.
Investigators found that the 29 -year -old man provided medical services to 4,486 patients between June 2024 and January 2025.
“This is one of the most disturbing cases of medical fraud that we have never investigated,” said the Sheriff of the County of Flagler, Rick Staly.
Bardisa was employed by Advenhealth Palm Coast Parkway in Palm Coast from July 2023 to January 2025.
She is accused of submitting false documents and providing a license number belonging to a nurse with the same first name who was employed by Advenhealth in another hospital.
The sheriff’s office said that she had explained the gap saying that she had recently married and had changed her last name. He was asked to provide his marriage license but never did it.
In January, Bardisa was offered a promotion. A colleague reported it to the authorities when they realized that his nursing assistant license had expired.
His contract was then terminated and a seven -month criminal investigation was launched.
The detectives carried out an arrest warrant for her for seven charges for the practice of a health profession without license and seven fraudulent users of use on personal identification.
She was arrested, carrying scrubs, at her house on August 5.
“This woman potentially puts thousands of lives in danger by pretending to be someone she was not and to the violation of the confidence of patients, their families, Advenhealth and an entire medical community,” said Sheriff Staly.
The sheriff’s office has set up a dedicated e-mail address, fakenursecase@flaglersheriff.com, for people who believe they were treated by the 29-year-old.
Bardisa was placed in pre -trial detention at the Sheriff Perry Hall detention center, where she is held on bail of $ 70,000 (around £ 52,000).
