EXCLUSIVE: Kennedy Center Roasts ‘Political Operatives’ Who Pulled Apparent Bait-And-Switch To Host Big Gay Concert
The president of Kennedy Center Richard Grenell latted five Democratic senators jointly organizing a concert of pride Monday in Kennedy Center a “political blow” in a press release obtained for the first time by the daily.
The Senator of Colorado, John Hickenlooper, organizes the concert “Love is Love” to the justice forum, a conference room located within reach, which is part of an extension initiative of Kennedy Center, according to the point of sale. The other Democratic Senators uniting to organize the event are the senator of Wisconsin, Tammy Baldwin, the senator of Nevada Jacky Rosen, Hawaii Senator Brian Schatz of Hawaii and the Senator of Massachusetts Elizabeth Warren, according to NYT.
The seller declared at the point of sale in an interview that Hickenlooper had contacted him for weeks before the event to see if he wanted to participate in a “guerrilla theater”.
The producer said he had gathered the 90 -minute concert “to celebrate gay characters, gay culture, gay music and gay pride”.
“This is our way of reoccuping the Kennedy Center,” said the seller.
