Man Missing For 28 Years Found in Melting Glacier
A shepherd made an incredible discovery last week when he found the body of a man who disappeared almost three decades ago in a remote part of Pakistan.
According to several reports, the shepherd found the man completely preserved in a glacier exposed by the melting of ice in the region of the mountain of the Supat valley. The reports indicate that the man, discovered on August 1, was found with his clothes always intact and the identification on him.
“What I saw was incredible,” said the shepherd who found the man, Omar Khan, at Bbc. “The body was intact. The clothes were not even torn apart.”
The point of sale reports that man has only been identified as Naseeruddin.
The reports indicate that the Naseeruddin disappeared in June 1997 during a snowstorm. Naseeruddin, who had a woman and two children, traveled on horseback with his brother, Kathiruddin. They were forced to leave their homes due to a family dispute, according to the police.

During their trek in the mountains, Naseeruddin fell in a way into a crack of the glacier. He managed to enter a cave, encouraging Kathiruddin to seek help. But on his return, Kathiruddin said he couldn’t find his brother.
All these years later, Khan discovered a body that mumped due to a lack of humidity and oxygen in the glacier.
Almost exactly a year ago, a similar scene took place in the Andes when the police recovered the body of the American climber William Stampfl, who had disappeared for 22 years.
Stampfl was 59 years old when he was buried by an avalanche in June 2002 in the Pic de Mount Huascaran in Peru.
