Democrats Learn What Consequences Are, and They Aren’t Happy About It – RedState

One of the most underestimated aspects of the 2024 elections is how confident Democrats were that they would win.

It seems to be an eternity, but there was a time when the American left was anything but Kamala Harris would be the next president. Who can remember the proclamation of the months of “joy” being a central theme of his campaign? Or “BRAT SUMMER”, suggesting that Harris had made breakthroughs with pop culture that simply could not be defeated. I still remember having to unravel reports on the day of the massive participation elections in Philadelphia who would have sealed the agreement for the president of the time.

However, this attitude was not new. Between 2021 and 2024, no measure was taken by the Democratic Party which took into account the possibility that Donald Trump is again president. Assuming that it would surely be done this time, they did not even consider the possible alternative results of their crusade.

But then he won, and like a child who wonders how the hot stove burned him, the Democrats are now very unhappy that Trump governs in the light of their actions.

In case of doubt that President Donald Trump and his administration are on a legal compensation tour, this should almost settle it.

Trump has often been investigated during his political career – a fact due to his almost constant efforts to push the limits. But maybe the four biggest examples? The investigation in Russia; its Ukrainian dismissal; January 6, 2021; And his personal legal problems after leaving his duties (including those from January 6).

Less than seven months after the start of Trump’s second term, the key people of each of these efforts have now apparently faced surveys.

More than 10 people who have played key roles in these investigations or who were brought against Trump had to face a kind of important legal control. These are steps that go beyond Trump just accusing them of misdeeds or suggesting that they should be surveyed.

Trump and senior administration officials also targeted enemies with layoffs and stripped them of security authorizations, but the effort to apply a legal examination to some of the most important opponents seems to be withdrawn.

I’m going to go ahead and skip the sugar coating that some try to do with this subject. Does Donald Trump are looking for reprisals on how the Democratic Party armed the American judicial system to try to throw it in prison for the rest of his life? Yes. Yes, it is.

Here is the best summary of the situation I saw.

You see, in life, when you do things, these things often produce specific repercussions. We call these “consequences” and you cannot call a waiting period when they arrive. Democrats seem to have the impression that they can only establish new standards to come back when these new standards devour them.

Take the recent battle on the redistribution, which saw more than 50 left -wing legislators in Texas flee their state to stop the adoption of a new Congress card which would eliminate five seats held by the Democrats. For decades, the Democratic Party has used the power of the state to draw some of the most Gerrymandes in the country. Some examples include Illinois, Maryland, California, New York, Massachusetts and New Mexico. But when the Texas Republicans decided that they wanted to stop playing the game with their hands attached behind their backs, the Democrats shouted a bloody murder.

See: Things have gone from bad to worse for the Democrats of Texas who fled to stop the redistribution

The same goes for Trump’s quest to hold people responsible for the government’s political armaments. When Joe Biden used a special lawyer to try to imprison the current president for extremely specious legal reasons, which was turned as “no one is above the law”.

When Trump responds to this rupture of standards by investigating those who perpetrated it, it is suddenly a “threat to democracy”. When officials of the Ministry of Justice and FBI agents used their power to hatch a plot to try to dismantle the main political rival of Democrats, they “do their job”. When Trump draws these leaders and agents following their own decisions to politicize their offices, this is claimed to be a “politicization”.

But really, what thought that democrats were going to happen? When did Trump’s political career showed a penchant to let things go?

What the press refuses to accept is that “remuneration” is no longer a dirty word. People are not blind. They have seen what has happened in the past decade, and all Trump is filtered through this goal. There was a time when prevailing for an ax at the FBI or continuing your political opponents was indeed taboo. This moment ended when the Democrats torn the Overton window with tatters. They have chosen to put these new rules in force, and we do not return to the old rules as long as a certain responsibility is obtained.

As the proverb says, if you take a hit on the king, you would better not miss. Democrats have missed.
