LSU Football Player JT Lindsey Arrested for Harboring Murder Suspect in Dorm
The first year of Louisiana State University, JT Lindsey, was arrested on Friday and struck with two counts of accessories after the fact in a case of second degree murder, according to information.
Prosecutors claim that Lindsey hosted two suspects in the murder case – Shemell Jacobs, 17, and Keldrick Jordan, 18 – who were wanted by police in the May murder of Corey Brooks, 17, according to the New York Post.
The school suspended Lindsey of the team before Friday when the player went to face his charges.
Lindsey had his obligation at $ 5,000 and he was released later in the evening.
LSU police noted that they have located the two suspects of Jaididen Lindsey’s 4071 apartment in Riverbend Hall.
“In addition to that, Jacobs had the LSU identifier of Lindsey on his person and was able to provide the PIN code person in Lindsey, which allowed him to come and to come from the dormitory apartment and building,” added the LSUPD. “During the examination of the registered surveillance images, Lindsey can be seen in the dormitory building with Jacobs and Jordan from 07/24/25, and on several occasions, Jacobs and Jordan come and go without Lindsey, using his ID LSU to access the building.”
Police added that they had discovered two AR-15 rifles, a Draco and a Glock in the apartment.
Lindsey’s lawyer said the player ignored that Jacobs and Kordan were wanted for murder when he had enabled them to enter his apartment. He added that Lindsey is not involved in any crime that the other two may have committed.
“JT Lindsey is categorical about the fact that he is innocent of any alleged criminal fault and any allegation of reprehensible acts against him,” said Perret in a statement. “He cooperates fully with the authorities and is eager to empty his name as quickly as possible,” said the lawyer.
“If he had known that the individuals were accused of crimes or wanted by the police, he would not have authorized them to enter his apartment or to them in any way,” he said.
Investigators, however, allege that the player knew very well that the two young men were wanted for murder. And they allege that he deliberately tried to hide them from the police.
Lindsey was a four -star perspective at the start of the 2025 season.
