President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are expected to keep their summit long since he had been expected in an American military base in Anchorage, Alaska on Friday, according to a White House official.

The meeting between the two leaders of Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson will be their first during the second term of Trump and will intervene while the American president seeks to end the war of Russia in Ukraine.

CNN first reported on the location of the meeting, which the Russians praised for its historical importance: the United States bought the territory of the Russian then 158 years ago.

Secretary of state Marco Rubio described the next summit on Tuesday as a “sensation meeting”, saying that it was “not a concession” in Putin. He added: “We will know very early in this meeting if this thing has a chance of success or not.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy should not join Trump and Putin in Alaska.

Trump said on Monday that Zelenskyy was not part of it “when he was asked if the Ukrainian chief had been invited.

“I would say he could go, but he has gone to many meetings. You know, he has been there for three and a half years – nothing has happened,” said Trump.

But Trump, Zelenskyy, vice-president JD Vance and European leaders should meet practically on Wednesday, according to a European official with direct meetings of meetings.

Zelenskyy and Ukrainian officials have repeatedly declared that they will not lose the territory that Russia has illegally annexed.

Trump said last week that Ukraine and Russia “exchange” parts of the territory as part of an agreement to end the war.

“It’s actually nothing easy. It’s very complicated,” said Trump at the time.

Trump said on the campaign track several times that he would end the war in the first 24 hours of his second term. During a presidential debate in September, Trump even declared that he could resolve the conflict “before even becoming president”.

After taking office, Trump said the calendar was “an exaggeration”.
