Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers says 2025 will almost certainly be his final NFL season | Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers says he is “almost sure” that the coming season will be his last in the NFL.
“I’m about sure that that’s all,” said Rodgers during an appearance in the Pat McAfee show. “This is why we just concluded a one -year agreement.”
Rodgers, who will be 42 years old in December, joined the Pittsburgh steelers on a contract of one year earlier this month. He also said that he could focus on life away from the field when he revealed that he had married earlier this year.
Rodgers added that he thought that the Steelers are the ideal team to end his career. He spoke repeatedly of his respect for the Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, who has never had a losing season since he took care of the team in 2007.
“I played 20 years. It was long term and I appreciated it,” said on Tuesday. “What better place to finish than in one of the Cornerstone de franchises in the NFL with [coach] Mike Tomlin and a large group of leadership and big guys and a city that expects you to win? »»
It is unlikely that the Steelers get the version of Rodgers who once cut a strip in the NFL at its peak with Green Bay packers, winning four MVP awards of League and a Super Bowl along the way. The mandate of Rodgers with his last team, the jets, was brief and rocky. After a torn Achilles finished its debut in 2023 after only four snaps, he returned in 2024 to start the 17 games. Although he launched for 3,897 yards and 28 affected, the jets finished only 5-12 and Rodgers ranked outside the top 25 in most efficiency measures. The team pulverized to a 3-7 file in matches at a score.
Rodgers will face a familiar enemy during the week 1 of the coming season: Pittsburgh should play the jets in their opening match in 2025. They play the packers in week 8.
