Rams vs. Chargers: Matthew Stafford tests back, others vie for snaps

Rams coach Sean Mcvay is evaluating hopes for alignment on Saturday when the Rams face the loads during a pre-season match at the Sofi stadium.
But as was the case last week when the Rams played the Dallas cowboys, the most important evaluation will occur a few hours before kick -off at the Woodland Hills training center in Rams.
The star quartermaster Matthew Stafford, who has not yet practiced due to a back problem, should go through another training.
And Mcvay and the Rams hope that the consequences of the session will be better than the previous one.
According to Mcvay, during the first launch session of Stafford, the 17th year pro had seemed “brilliant”.
This is not how Stafford – or the Rams – felt in the days that followed: Stafford did not start to practice as planned.
There are still three weeks before the September 7 opening match against Houston’s Texans at the Sofi stadium. So there is still a lot of time for one of the most experienced players in the NFL to prepare for the opening and the 16 games that will follow.
A painless recovery of Saturday training would be a start.
Here are five things to monitor when the RAMs face the loads during a pre-season match at the Sofi stadium on Saturday at 4 p.m. PDT (ABC, CBS).
