TX’s Republican Governor Catches Recent Dem Runaways by Surprise, Calls Second New Session – RedState
The Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott (R), clearly told the legislators of the Democratic State who fled about two weeks ago that he did not count their nonsense after having retained a quorum to scuttle the Special Session of Abbott to redistize the Solitaire Star State.
As my colleague Bonchie wrote on Tuesday, they have folded like a herd of orgami storks earlier than expected while on their virtue of signaling from Illinois and other blue states and Safe Haven:
According to ABC News, the Runaways who claimed to save “democracy” return early in their country of origin, claiming to have achieved their objective of raising awareness of the Gerrymandering. It is a very polished way of saying that they have failed miserably.
ABC13 has confirmed with several sources that the Democrats of the Chamber will return to Texas.
Eyewitness News has not confirmed the date, but we know that the Democrats believe they have accomplished their mission by killing the first special session and by raising national awareness of the redistribution effort of mid-defect.
It is not known what day they will be in Austin in the Capitol, but they underline that they will pressure so that Hill Country floods relief to be the priority.
Another national democrat who is not exactly covered in glory is the representative Jasmine Crockett, who was for the right cause of the state legislators to keep the Gerrymandered districts for democratic electoral victories.

Friday, Governor Abbott pulled another devious movement on the DEMS, by calling a new special surprise session to hammer the redistribution. The legislator shared the priorities of the Republicans in a proclamation:
The proclamation of Abbott was largely the same as the first, which presents 19 articles of the agenda, including redistribution and help in the event of a disaster for the victims of the floods of the Texas Central.
“The democrats of the delinquent chamber have moved away from their responsibility to adopt crucial legislation for the benefit of the life of the Texans,” the Republican governor said in a statement. “We will not back up this fight. This is why I remind them today to finish the work. ”
But there was still no quorum on Friday when the speaker Dustin Burrows tried to start the second special session. Burrows told Politico, in history linked above, that “he expects the house to reach the quorum on Monday-and sent members at home for the weekend”.
What is happening next is up to the remaining runaways, he said, reminding them that Abbott and Texas Ag Paxton will not hesitate to have them arrested by the arm sergeant and return to the house of the house, if they are discovered inside the borders of Texas while waiting.
