Israel missed biggest opportunity for Hamas deal after 12 Day War
Each day, Israel fails to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, its position in the region and in the world is eroding, and its long -term security is undermined, warned Clinton.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu missed the greatest opportunity for an agreement with Hamas after the Iran war, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton argued in an interview on the Podcast “Raging Moderates” published on Friday.
“Israel has established such domination – the domination of intelligence, military domination, controlled air over Iran, was able to destroy significant infrastructure of their military industrial complex, had the addresses of some of the leaders of the nuclear program – then the United States entered and added to this domination with our unique capacity.
Describing Hamas as a cult of death on her knees, she has developed that with Iran: “We have clearly sent a message – very with force – that we will not allow it to become a power of nuclear weapons.”
If she had been in Netanyahu’s position, she said, she would have stated “a plan for a ceasefire on a fast path, whether Hamas agrees or not,” she started, arguing that the terrorist group has no interest in accepting a cease-fire, because war perpetuates their story.
“I will start talking with our Arab neighbors about what we can do to set up a kind of security / redevelopment program; I will demand that the Palestinian authority reform itself in order to be a partner of Israel to do anything to govern the day after Gaza. ”
Even if it costs politically in Netanyahu, Clinton said that she would use the Israeli public directly with her vision of the future of Israel – standardization with Saudi Arabia, to help the Lebanese government to master Hezbollah and work to guarantee “we get the right diet in Syria”. She argued that, in doing so, he could be re-elected-although “Israel needs a new leadership,” she added quickly.

The Gaza crisis erodes the position and security of Israel
Clinton argued that by not addressing the humanitarian crisis of Gaza – as a fervent supporter of Israel, she added – she “undermines the position of Israel in the world and puts the Israelis and Jews in danger worldwide”.
“It is not the usual suffering that comes from the active war. Israel has other options”, which said, other military and political leaders have proposed. “There are other options that would continue to protect Israel but get him out of this quagmire in which he got in.”
Netanyahu is a prisoner of the most extreme elements of Israeli society, and therefore, he is unable to become pragmatic again, which he was able to do, “said the former presidential candidate.
