Well, through the pond, in Great Britain in the past, they have media strongly dominated by the government; His name is the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and operates under a royal charter. The Beeb, as our British cousins call it, is hardly a bastion of impartiality.
But on Sunday, they published a bloody story on a woman from Gazan, sent to Italy for medical treatment, describing her as “malnourished”. But there is a catch; She is not died of malnutrition. The BBC buried the socket in the fourth paragraph.
Way to bury the lede, BBC.
A Gazan woman who was evacuated to Italy for treatment while she was seriously emaciated died in the hospital.
The 20 -year -old woman, identified as Marah Abu Zuhri, flew Wednesday for Pisa with her mother during a night flight as part of a program set up by the Italian government.
The Pisa University Hospital said it had been a cardiac arrest and died on Friday, less than 48 hours after arriving. He said that she had a “very complex clinical picture” and had undergone strong weight loss and muscle. Italian press agencies reported that she was suffering from serious malnutrition.
Now granted, it’s sad. This woman, a girl, really died at the age of 20, and it is a tragic thing. No one in this young person should die. But she is not died of malnutrition. She had something else that is wrong, something that often causes serious weight and muscle loss.
COGAT, the Israeli military organization responsible for aid, said on Sunday that it had suffered from leukemia.
Yes, it’s true. The cause of death was not officially announced, but leukemia was, at least, a contributing factor – a BBC does not judge before mentioning before the fourth paragraph. It is a journalistic professional fault, nothing else.
