The authorities have published images of a Southwest Airlines pilot failing a sobriety test shortly before takeoff in January.

David Allsop, 52, from New Hampshire, was placed in police custody Savannah / Hilton Head International Airport Around 7 a.m. on January 7, according to the Sheriff’s Bureau of Chatte de Chatham.

The Bodycam police video shows that the police question Allsop after receiving information that the pilot could have been influenced just before the Southwest 3772 flight about to leave Georgia for Chicago.

The pilot admitted that he had drank “a few beers” 10 hours before the flight, to which the officer asked him to clarify.

The agents noted the smell of alcohol and asked that ALLSOP is passing a sobriety test on the ground. Although the pilot initially said that there was “no need”.

“Some beers,” said Allsop.

“Define some beers?” The officer asked again.

“Like three,” said the pilot. “Light beer, Miller Lite.”

Allsop finally respected, and video sequences show him trying to travel a straight line, although the authorities have determined that he was still in intoxication.

Allsop was arrested and the flight was delayed four hours and left at 11 a.m., passengers were referred or housed on other flights, Southwest Airlines said.

In January, Southwest told Fox News Digital that ALLSOP had been “withdrawn from service”.

“Customers have been hosted on other flights and we apologize for the disruption of their travel plans,” a spokesperson said at the time. “There is nothing more important for the Southwest than the security of our employees and our customers.”
