How to Keep These 3 Settings From Killing Your iPhone Battery

The more you have your iPhone, the more you notice that the battery does not hold as it did when it was new. It’s natural. It is normal for TP phone batteries which are worn naturally over time, which means that they cannot hold as many costs as they have done. This does not mean that you should keep it connected all day or count on the low power mode constantly. With some quick adjustment changes, you can stretch the life of your battery, even on an older device.
No one wants their phone stops at mid-term, in the middle of a reading list, or just before sending an SMS. Instead of rushing for a charger, take a minute to watch your settings. The deactivation of a few features that flow quietly could give you more hours of use without too much effort.
It is also intelligent to check the Battery Health menu. This section shows you the percentage of maximum capacity of your battery, the number of load cycles which it has gone through and if it is always considered “normal”. Anything that is more than 80% is generally a good sign.
We will guide you through three iOS parameters that most drain the battery of your iPhone and explain how to turn them off can help you get more life from your device.

Turn off the widgets on the lock screen of your iPhone
All widgets on your lock screen force your applications to execute automatically in the background, constantly recovering data to update the information that widgets display, such as sports scores or weather. Since these applications are constantly operating in the background due to your widgets, this means that they continuously shed power.
If you want to help preserve a battery on iOS 18, the best thing to do is just avoid widgets on your locking screen (and home screen). The easiest way to do so is to switch to another locking screen profile: press your finger on your existing lock screen, then slide to choose one that has no widgets.
If you just want to delete widgets from your existing lock screen, press your lock screen, press PersonalizeChoose it Locking screen The option, press the widget box, then press “–“” button on each widget to remove them.
If you are already low on the battery, it is best to simply switch to a wallpaper that does not have locking screen widgets.
Reduce the movement of your iPhone UI
Your iPhone user interface has fun and elegant animations. There is the fluid movement of the opening and closing applications, and the bursting of the color that appears when you activate Siri with Apple Intelligence, to name a couple. These visual tips help bring the metal and glass slab in your hand. Unfortunately, they can also reduce your phone’s battery life.
If you want more subtle animations on iOS, you can activate the reduction movement setting. To do that, go to Parameters > Accessibility > Movement and switch to Reduce movement.
Visual tips like the parallax effect are fun, but they can affect the life of your battery.
Turn off your iPhone keyboard vibrations
Surprisingly, the keyboard on the iPhone never had the possibility of vibrating when you type, an addition called “haptic feedback” which was added to iOS 16. Instead of simply hearing click sounds, haptic feedback gives each key a vibration, offering a more immersive experience when you type. According to Apple, the same characteristic can also affect the battery life.

Depending on this Apple support page on the keyboard, haptic comments “can affect the battery life of your iPhone”. No specificity is given as to the battery life that the keyboard functionality drains, but if you want to keep the battery, it is best to keep this functionality deactivated.
Fortunately, it is not activated by default. If you have activated it yourself, go to Parameters > Sounds and haptics > Keyboard feedback and switch Haptic To deactivate haptic comments for your keyboard.
Whenever you type, you will feel a slight vibration for each key you touch.
