Google is launching its first magnetic wireless charging accessories
With its new Pixel 10 series, Google finally adopts the Qi2 wireless load standard, which facilitates the fixing of wireless chargers safely thanks to a ring of magnets integrated into the device. This also makes the new phone compatible with the many accessories Magsafe and Qi2 already on the market – so naturally, Google also presents its own options.
The Pixelsnap charger is a wireless load washer that looks like an Apple Magsafe charger and is compatible with other Qi2 certified devices. It supports the wireless load speeds up to 25 W when associated with the Pixel 10 Pro XL and can be purchased with an optional support accessory sufficiently solid to support the Pixel 10 Pro Plé while it is unfolded and allows the load washer to be detached if necessary.
If you can’t wait to switch to one of the new devices in the Pixel 10 series and does not already watch one of the magnetic accessories in the Popsocket magnetic handle, the Ring Pixelsnap stand offers similar features. You can support your device using its unfolding metal ring, while a soft microfiber lining between the accessory and your phone allows you to run the support to change your orientation without having to remove it completely.
Google also introduces a pixelsnap case collection compatible with the new magnetic functionality. The boxes for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold include the color options Moonstone, Jade and Obsidian, while the 10 Pro XL adds a porcelain option, and the 10 and 10 pro Addigo, Frost and Lemongass versions.
And because the wireless load is not really wireless – you always need a fastener to a power source – Google publishes a new double port adapter. The Pixel Flex Dual Port 67w USB-C Pin Charter offers folding teeth for portability and a “owner algorithm that intelligently identifies and prioritizes charging pixel phones” with two connected devices. It is not the smallest or fastest multifaceous charger you can buy, but it has an elegant design if you are not in the brand.
