DOJ Probing D.C. Crime Stats a ‘Distraction’, ‘Bogus’

On Wednesday, the broadcast of CNN’s “The Lead”, Brooke Pinto (D) of CNN, said that the city’s police chief “investigates” potential precision problems with the city’s crime statistics, but the City’s DOJ’s investigation is “another distraction”. And “we must have our local and federal resources focused on real solutions in terms of crime and public security. We cannot have these false surveys. ”
Pinto said that “our chief conducted his own internal investigation several months ago to ensure that these statistics were exact. She found a case of possible differences, and she put this officer on leave and investigated. ” And also said that she trusted the figures for the city’s police service.
The host Phil Mattingly then asked: “Do you support the investigation of the Ministry of Justice which is underway on these figures?”
Pinto replied: “No. I think it’s another distraction. Public security and government work is a serious matter, and we must have our local and federal resources focused on real solutions with regard to crime and public security. We cannot do the strong investigation.
