Trump news at a glance: president denies he was briefed about raid on aide-turned-critic John Bolton’s home | Trump administration

Donald Trump said that he did not know a raid by the FBI on the house of his former adviser who became critical, John Bolton, was planned and that he expected to be informed by the Ministry of Justice.
“I tell the group that I don’t want to know, but you just have to do what you have to do. I don’t want to know,” said Trump, adding “I’m not a fan of John Bolton. He is a real kind of lowlife. He’s not an intelligent guy. But he could be very antipotic. I’ll discover it.”
JD Vance denied that the raid was politically motivated. “We do not think that we should throw people – even if they do not agree with us politically, perhaps especially if they disagree with us politically – you should not throw people who hinder prison,” the vice -president told NBC. “You should let the law lead these determinations, and that’s what we do.”
