Microsoft Edge will AI summarize your browsing activity for $20/mo

Microsoft is currently testing a new AI feature in Edge called “Journeys”, reports Windows the latest. The objective is to create summaries generated by AI and interactive cards of your navigation history and your open pages, which facilitates the reproduction of projects or the continuation of current tasks.
But there is a socket with this feature: it is only available if you have a Copilot Pro subscription, which costs $ 20 per month. The subscription also provides AI capabilities in other Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Paint and Notepad. (Yup, these last two have actual features of AI.)
When travel is activated, an AI model analyzes your navigation activity. Microsoft points out that the data is stored locally on your device and is not used for the formation of AI or targeted advertising models. Instead, Edge uses small models of language such as Phi-4 and Phi-Mini, which allow calculations to perform directly on your computer.
The Journeys function is not yet available in the stable version of Edge, and on this subject can only be activated via Edge Canary. It is currently not known when trips are widely available.
