Rashid Khan to lead spin-heavy Afghanistan in Asia Cup

Kabul, Afghanistan (AP) – Rashid Khan will direct a heavy Afghanistan in Spin at the Asian Cup next month with an unplated mystery spinner, Am Ghazanfar, also appointed to the Twenty20 team of 17 members on Sunday.
Khan was appointed captain and is joined by Noor Ahmad, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Mohammad Nabi like other seasoned spinners for the tournament from September 9 to 28 in the United Arab Emirates, where throws are supposed to help slow the quieurs de Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Afghanistan has not played T20 since he beat Zimbabwe in December of last year. Afghanistan will take place for the Asian Cup by playing a triangular series which begins in Sharjah from August 29 and also presents water and Pakistan.
Ghazanfar did not play an international T20 but impressed in his brief career Odi, entering two traits of five titles in 11 games. He has played in a number of T20 leagues around the world – notably the Indian Premier League.
Fazalhaq Farooqi, Azmatullah Omarzai, Naveen Ul Haq and Gulbadin Naib are the four bowling options to the rhythm of the Afghan team.
Zadran’s return strengthens its range of strikers with Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sediqulah Atal providing firepower in advance with Karim Janat and Zadran in the average order.

Afghanistan is placed in a more difficult B group with Bangladesh, Hong Kong and Sri Lanka. India, Pakistan, the Oman and the water are in group A. Afghanistan will face Hong Kong during the tournament opening match in Abu Dhabi on September 9.
