Israel ‘deeply regrets’ strike on Nasser Hospital in Gaza

The leaders of the United Nations, the United Kingdom, France and Germany condemn the Israeli strikes at the Nasser Hospital in Gaza, which killed 20, including journalists, calling for an impartial investigation and cease-fire.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel deeply regretted what he described as the “tragic mishap” which occurred on Monday at the Nasser hospital in Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

The Israeli strike killed at least 20 people, including five journalists.

“Our war is with Hamas terrorists. Our objectives are to defeat Hamas and bring our hostages back to the house,” said Netanyahu.

World leaders, including those of the UN, the United Kingdom, France and Germany, condemned Israeli strikes.

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres firmly condemned the murder of the Palestinians in Israeli strikes and called for a quick impartial investigation, spokesman Stephane Dujarric said.

“The secretary general remembers that civilians, including medical staff and journalists, must be respected and protected at any time. He calls a quick and impartial investigation into these murders,” Dujarric told journalists.

British Foreign Minister David Lammy said he was horrified after Israel hit the hospital, killing at least 20 people, including five journalists.

“Horrified by Israel’s attack on Nasser Hospital. Civilians, health workers and journalists must be protected. We need an immediate ceasefire,” Lammy said in an article on X / Twitter.

The shame of all journalists not raising the voice against the massacre of their courageous Palestinian colleagues while documenting the genocide,” commented the Albanian.

Who were the journalists killed?

The cameraman Hussam Al-Masri, one of the journalists killed in strikes, was an entrepreneur for Reuters. Photographer Hatem Khaled, also a reuters entrepreneur, was injured.
