John Bolton Responds to Donald Trump After Being Raided By the FBI, and He’s Not Happy – RedState

Friday, federal agents invaded the house and office of John Bolton in several raids, while a formerly dead criminal investigation exploded on the stage. The former national security adviser who has become the chief of the anti-Trump cable had been suspected of having disclosed classified information in his Memoirs in 2020 before the Biden administration took off the investigation.

The process would have advanced to the point where a large jury was involved, and a judge had previously warned Bolton that he could find himself criminally charged if he proceeded to the publication of the book. With the election of President Donald Trump, whatever the protections that the CNN regularly enjoyed suddenly.

Now Bolton responded by … signaling of virtue on Ukraine? It’s a choice, I guess.

Far from me to tell a guy against the Ministry of Justice how to face it, but man, watching him immediately reproducing in Ukraine is quite wild. Is that his priority right now? No more excavations in hand on peace negotiations that were not even on the table when Biden was in charge? Really?

The Ukrainian policy of President Donald Trump is not more consistent today than it was last Friday when his administration carried out search mandates against my home and my office. Collapse in the confusion, haste and the absence of any perceptible meeting of spirits between Ukraine, Russia, several European countries and America, Trump negotiations could be in their last pangs, as well as its Nobel Peace Campaign.

The administration tried to camouflage his dismay behind publications on social networks, such as Trump comparing his finger point to Russian President Vladimir Putin to the president of the time, Richard Nixon, during the famous kitchen debate with Nikita Khrushchev. Why Trump wants to be compared to the only president who resigned disgrace is not clear.

I am not “anti-Ukraine”, but the way some people on the left (and yes, Bolton is firmly on the left at this stage) treat the country as a kind of divinity to pay penance, whatever the situation, is just weird. Also, what is the alternative here? There is no drawback to at least try to end the war. If Russia asks for the Moon and Ukraine decides that it prefers to continue to fight rather than give in, then well. Nothing would be lost in the process. However, Bolton seems to treat the simple existence of negotiations as a kind of evil and great unthinkable evil.

However, this should not surprise anyone. If Bolton is something, this is one of the worst minds of American history foreign policy. We are talking about a guy who said he was “delighted” by the disastrous campaign of the Obama administration in Libya. War in Iraq? He was everything for that. The Syrian intervention according to which Christians have now been killed by the new Islamist government, which is led by a former Al-Qaeda chief? Bolton loved that too.

I’m comfortable saying Bolton’s hiring as NSA was one of the worst decisions made by Trump in his first mandate. The last thing the United States needed was the remains of the warmed foreign policy of George W. Bush.

Anyway, Bolton seems to have decided that running headlong in the brick wall is the only way through his current criminal misfortunes. I would warn that the skulls and bricks do not go together, however. We will see how it all works for him.
