Patriots Blockbuster Trade Idea Brings $33 Million Fan Favorite Back to New England

New England Patriots have a large receiver room, but it is not necessarily a finished product.
Before a second pivotal season for a 22-year-old franchise, Drake Maye, the Patriots’ options range from former All-Pro with injury problems to Stefon Diggs, some low ceiling guys, such as Kyle Williams.
There is a world where this mixture (throw Kayshon Boutte and Efton Chism III in there, to be safe) stimulates in favor of the patriots. But if they were lucky to trade against a 1,000 yards receptor a year ago, would they take it?

On Monday, Zach Bashar of Bleacher Report discussed this possibility, labeling the patriots as a “high landing level” for Las Vegas Raiders Wideout Jakobi Meyers, four -year member of the Patriots until 2022, in a potential trade.
“Josh McDaniels is back with the Patriots as an attacking coordinator for the 2025 season, and he has a lot of familiarity with the receiver. McDaniels was an attacking coordinator of Meyers in New England 2019-21 and his head coach in Las Vegas at the start of the 2023 season”, wrote Bashar.
“The Patriots could also use a coherent weapon for the quarter-Arrière Drake Maye while he is preparing for his second year in the NFL. … New England signed Stefon Diggs in a free agency, but his impact is uncertain after his recovery of a torn ACL that he suffered last season.”
The initial reports of the Tashan Reed of athletics and Dianna Russini confirmed on Monday that the raiders denied the request for initial trade of Meyers. But there are more than two months before the deadline for trade, and if the sea persists in its point of view, Las Vegas could possibly yield.
If that should happen, the patriots would not necessarily be the favorite guaranteed for Meyers, but according to the way in which New England Wideouts operate in the immediate future, the need could become apparent.
