Friday, the Minister of the Environment confirmed that he had undergone a hair transplant.
Carsten Schneider, from the Social Democratic Party of the Center-Gauche (SPD), told the Funke media group that he had had the procedure.
“It is a redistribution from the back to the front during my vacation,” said Schneider.
“I hope it will become a hairstyle,” he added.
Observers saw Schneider, originally from the eastern state of Thuringia, sporting a new hairstyle during the SPD summer party in the state parliament on Wednesday.
The minister did not say where or when he suffered the transplant.
Hair transplants generally take a long time to heal, which means that the full results of the Schneider procedure should become apparent in the coming months.
