‘The Bear’ Season 4: Read all the texts Carmy has sent Mikey since he died

Contains spoilers for The bear Season 4, episode 1.
The bear Season 4 reveals more about the relationship between Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) and his late brother, Mikey (Jon Bernthal), with the opening of the season with a poignant flashback of the two chatting of the pipe of pipe to open a restaurant together.
It is not the only insight that episode 1 gives us, however. Shortly after the flashback, there is another moment, just as poignant but much brighter, in which Carmy sends an SMS on the phone of his late brother while he is on the way to work – and we see from a close -up that it is not the only message he sent.
So what has Carmy sent a text to Mikey since his death, and what does he tell us about their relationship?
What messages have sent to Mikey since his death?
We have transcribed all the unreleased messages that are visible on the screen of Carmy’s phone in season 4, episode 1 below:
Mashable Top Stories
I miss you bro
Sam., January 21
I found the tomato cans
Sea, April 18
You were right on Claire Bear
Fri, May 26
Think about you today
Today
The restaurant was called Kerrigan’s
These are quite short, but all can be linked to things that have happened in the show. “Found the Tomato Cans” is a reference at the end of season 1, when Carmy finds the $ 300,000 that Mikey hid in the tomato cans mentioned in the recipe he leaves his brother. “You were right on Claire Bear” goes back to the episode “Fishes” of season 2, in which Mikey refers to Claire (Molly Gordon) as “the love of your damn life”.
The message “Thinking to you Today” was sent on the day of opening the bear, the restaurant we now know Mikey played a key role in name and funding. And the final message, “The restaurant was called Kerrigan’s”, relates to the opening flashback that we have just seen in episode 1. Kerrigan’s is probably the name of the Irish restaurant that Carmy’s father and Mikey loved.
What do messages tell us?
Carmy is a character marked by the way he is closed, constantly avoiding difficult subjects and his own emotions. We know how much he loves his brother through flashbacks, however, and rare occasions where he talks about him.
But what not delivered messages also show the amount of carmy thought About Mikey. During all the most important moments that occurred in Carmy’s life during the show – to find the money to reconnect with Claire and open his dream restaurant – Mikey was in his mind. Sending an SMS to his brother’s old phone is probably a way for Carmy to feel close to him.
The bear Season 4 is now in difficulty on FX.
