EXCLUSIVE: Leading House Conservative Calls Senate’s Bluff On Trump’s ‘Beautiful’ Bill

Andy Harris, president of the House Freedom Caucus (HFC), warns that the management of the Senate Gop is a bet losing if they try to force the conservatives to the Chamber to swallow the version of the upper chamber of the “Big and beautiful” bill by President Donald Trump.
Harris, who directs the conservative flank of the House Republican Conference, told the Daily Caller News Foundation in an interview on Wednesday that he was ready to land the Senate’s proposal – arguing that the budgetary package of the upper chamber would increase budget deficits while reducing reduction in expenses adopted by the Chamber. The president of the HFC is not the only one to commit to voting against the current Senate bill and predicted that he would not manage to go to the House if President Mike Johnson moves to put the Senate’s proposal on the ground. “They will lose the bet,” said Harris at the DCNF to find out if he would look to put pressure on to support the current Senate bill. The president of the HFC was the legislative legislator to vote “present” on the bill sentenced to the House in May, citing the lack of legislation to considerably reduce deficit spending and to eliminate “waste, fraud and abuse” in Medicaid.
Harris’ warning has shown the fact that he will not accept changes to the Senate that make the chamber reforms back or increase the deficit spending when the majority of the Senate, John Thune, rushes to adopt the budget bill of his room by the end of the week. A diversified cohort of retained threatens to delay the adoption of the Senate bill, certain tax hawks arguing that the current proposal is not sufficiently aggressive in reduction expenses. Trump demanded that his historic bill incorporating large expanses from his legislative program reached his office by July 4, but it is not difficult to know if the congress will respect this deadline.
The Chamber will have to give the Senate bill its approval seal before Trump can sign the measure. Harris has told the DCNF that the failure of the Senate’s proposal to date to join the budgetary framework of the House requiring additional tax reductions to be offset with discounts of dollar expenditure for the dollar make the bill a non-start in its opinion.
“It is so far from [House] Budgetary framework that I cannot support it, “Harris told DCNF.” I think it is widely accepted in the room if this measure happens as it is currently proposed, it will fail. “”
The version of the currently proposed Senate of The One Big Beautiful Bill weakens the key priorities of the Chamber – it is not enough to eliminate waste, fraud and abuse to Medicaid, it is back on the new elimination of green scams included in the bill of the Chamber, and this considerably increases the deficit -…

Harris estimated that the current proposal of the upper room – which has not yet been finalized – could increase the deficit by $ 1 Billion over a period of ten years. The Maryland Republican said that the GOP Senate conference will have to identify another dollar billion of expense discounts to compensate for the impact of the deficit of their current proposal if they hope to win his vote.
According to Harris, the simplest road would be to make additional reforms in Medicaid. Although the Senate Republicans have made more aggressive political changes to the law program than the version adopted by the Chamber, Harris urges the high chamber to go even further. It has floated by reducing the share of federal spending of Medicaid, known as the Federal Percentage of Medical Assistance (FMAP), for the expansion population of Obamacare, which the moderates of the GOP have so far fell.
“They will have to make decisions, or they have the elimination of all waste, fraud and abuse to Medicaid by dealing with the FMAP gap between young people and healthy people and disabled people, the elderly, pregnant [women] And the children for whom the program has been designed – or they will have to back up part of their tax relief, “said Harris.
The federal government pays in particular 90% of the coverage costs for valid adults covered by the expansion of Medicaid while contributing a much lower percentage for traditional registrants – like pregnant women and the disabled – the law program was initially intended to serve.
The President of the HFC also calls on the Senate to follow the example of Trump by committing to end immediately at the end of the tax alternatives of green energy promulgated by former president Joe Biden.
“I hate” green tax credits “in the big, big and beautiful bill,” wrote the president in all the uppercase on the social platform Truth Social Saturday. “They are largely a giant scam.”
“”[It] puts us in a better playing state, ”Harris told DCNF.
