Easy configuration and long battery life
When you take the camera out of the box, you will be welcomed by a few screws, a small mounting support and the camera itself.
The assembly is as simple as you can ask. Screw the support into a post, a wall or whatever you want, tighten the nut, then screw the camera. You have finished.
My only complaint is that the screws are exceptionally Soft, and will undress if you enter a hard material or if you don’t have exactly the right bit size.
The software side is also quite easy. You download the application, which is available for iPhones and Android devices, then keep the SYNC button on the camera itself. Once the blue light is starting to flash and the BIP camera, the application will guide you through the connection of the device to your network.
You must provide your own microSD card to capture everything that the camera takes up. Unfortunately, you need to use FAT32 to format the microSD card. I would like to see the support for exfat.
In practice, it creates some problems. Windows will not allow you to format a USB storage device greater than 32 GB without digging in the command line tools. Given this persistent and throbbing limitation, I chose to use Rufus instead, which was much faster and easier than playing with the disk partition tool via the command line.
The out -of -competition function on this camera – if you do not expect it – is the small solar panel at the top of the camera. Baseus says that the panel can add about 900mAh to the battery every day, and it will even follow the sun to maintain an optimal angle to maximize the energy it collects.
I ran the camera continuously for more than three weeks. Meanwhile, the solar panel was confronted almost directly in the south. On a busy day, when I played it continuously for a few hours, the battery dropped to 94%.
However, he quickly rebounded, and during the rest of the time I used it, I never saw him fall below 98%. In full sun, the solar panel is enough to keep it in the head indefinitely.

The five different motion detection parameters worked more or less as you can expect.
The two lower parameters really only responded to people. Neither animals (even large as deer) nor a blowing tree in the wind have triggered them. The highest sensitivity framework was sometimes triggered by animals or a moving tree.
I left it on the most sensitive adjustment for the duration of my test to see the frequency of the captures would affect the battery life. I also changed the animal detection framework in the hope of capturing some animal videos.
Although it has been triggered several times a day by the movement of the tree, the solar panel has maintained the outdated battery without problem.
Good (not super) camera quality
During the day, the camera works very well. Things over 100 feet were clear and easily recognizable.
The visible spectrum sensor is more sensitive than what I expected. There are two ways for the camera to take photos at night: via an IR camera with an IR Lightource, or the use of a small LED light and the ordinary visible spectrum camera.
The IR option works as you can imagine and illuminates things up to about 30 feet distance. The visible spectrum camera and its LED light have about the same beach, but I was extremely surprised to see that the camera was sensitive enough to capture Venus and Jupiter rising in the east in the morning.
There was a strange fog problem that occurred very regularly overnight. I could not find a way to prevent it, and that had a significant impact on the night performance of the camera.
The condensation was formed at the top left of the frame and gradually spread throughout the evening. Everything after that has become a bit of a blurred mess and tended to ensure that deer (and other animals) cross my courtyard resemble obscure cryptids more than ordinary wooded animals.
It did not always happen, however, and I was able to capture a raccoon flowing in my courtyard for about 30 minutes. Apparently, he discovered something he loved and decided to comb the whole court to make sure that there was nothing more somewhere.
