Virginia Wat, England – Captain of Europe Luke Donald fulfilled his alignment with 12 men for the Ryder Cup of this month with six players who helped the team win the trophy in Rome two years ago.

Shane Lowry, Jon Rahm, Sepp Straka, Viktor Hovland, Ludvig Åberg and Matt Fitzpatrick were announced on Monday as Donald’s choices for matches from September 26 to 28 against the United States with Black Bethpage.

Donald will take a familiar program in New York, returning 11 of the 12 players who won the Ryder Cup for the European team in 2023. Indeed, the only change of two years ago sees Rasmus Hojgaard play instead of his twin brother, Nicolai.

Rasmus Hojgaard is the only recruit of the Ryder Cup, having been automatically qualified with Rory McILroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Robert Macintyre, Justin Rose and Tyrrell Hatton.
