Stephen King posts a prediction for Trump and the 2026 election

Stephen King has long been a vocal critic of Donald Trump, but he has really increased things recently.

At the end of last week, following Trump’s controversial comments on dictators at a firm meeting, the horror author accused the president of “transforming America into a fascist and authoritarian state”.

Now King has still shared his reflections on X, this time by predicting the 2026 elections.

“Trump and his greedy friends could have a big surprise despite their efforts to fake the 2026 elections,” wrote King. “They could find themselves overwhelmed by a blue wave. The Americans make fun of the fact that Trump transforms the American dream into a nightmare.”

Trump placed Washington DC under federal control and brought the National Guard to a supposed repression against crime that has aroused many criticisms, as well as his recent plans to extend this program to cities like New York and Chicago.
