My favorite cooking gadget is getting a big upgrade

I have had a Thermomix TM6 for about five years, and I use it several times a day for everything, from the manufacture of smoothies in the morning to smoking vegetables for dinner, whipping a sauce or cooking rice. It is the most versatile intelligent gadget of my kitchen. Now, his successor, the Thermomix TM7, has arrived in the United States, launched today for $ 1,699.
Yes, it is expensive-but this all-in-one machine is designed to replace the value of a gadget counter, with functions such as weighing, blow, whisk, steam, sautéuse, slow cooking and even fermentation. The remarkable upgrade is a larger 10 -inch touch screen powered by a faster multi -core processor. However, I am wary of the missing physical dial, because the screen has all controls of the device, as well as access to 200 integrated guided kitchen recipes (and many others with a Cookido subscription for $ 65 per year).
The rest of the TM7 was also redesigned, with a more elegant black design, a cooking option with free cover and a larger steam basket. Vorwerk, who has Thermomix, says that its software platform has been rebuilt from zero to allow future larger updates – including voice control.
The TM6, launched in 2019, has been interrupted, but Vorwerk has committed 10 years in support.
