Two small planes collide midair at an airport in Colorado, killing 1 person and injuring 3

Fort Morgan, Colorado – One person was killed and three were injured when two small planes collided outdoors while trying to land in an airport in northeast Colorado, the authorities said.
A Cessna 172 and an additional Flugzeugbau EA300 collided Sunday morning while trying to land at Fort Morgan’s municipal airport, said Federal Aviation Administration.
The two planes – each with two people on board – crashed and caught fire, said the sheriff’s office in Morgan.
Both of Cessna underwent minor injuries, one of the occupants of the other plane was taken to the hospital, and the other was declared dead on the scene, said the sheriff’s office.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA are investigating the accident.
Fort Morgan is a city of around 12,000 people at around 80 miles (130 kilometers) northeast of Denver.
