Google Is Bringing Gemini AI to Its Smart Home Lineup, Starting Oct. 1

He has more and more the impression that the AI assistant from Google is omnipresent on our devices and, from next month, he could also be at home.
In a post X Tuesday, the company teased: “Gemini comes to Google Home” and told us to “return on October 1.”
At its event produced by Google in August, the company announced Gemini for the house among a series of other product announcements, so this has been in preparation for some time.
Tuesday’s Teaser X Post seems to show an image of a Nest camera, which Google upgraded four years ago, suggesting that the security camera could be defined for a refreshment. An improved nest speaker and a doorbell, both with 2K camera support, could also be part of the disclosure of October 1.
Google did not immediately respond to CNET’s request for comments.
The company announced last month that Gemini for the house would possibly replace Google Assistant in its Smart Home devices. You will always activate the Gemini with “Hey Google”, but the AI advanced technology will be able to better interpret more complex and nuanced instructions and questions.
Maybe you are perplexed about what to do for dinner, so it could be: “Hey Google, which pasta dish can I cook in less than an hour?” Or “give me a recipe for Caesar salad.” Gemini are also designed to operate with thermostats and smart lights, so you could tell him to “transform the temperature to 68 degrees” and “turn off all the lights except in the kitchen”.
The smart home technology market is expected to increase by 23% over the next five years, according to Grand View Research.
