Windows 11 gets automatic light/dark modes in next PowerToys update

If you have not tried PowerToys – the official Microsoft pack which gives Windows dozens of additional features – you should really. I am a big fan of the Fancyzones tool that allows you to personalize the Windows Snap functionality. But a big update arrives at the favorite fans program: an option to automatically move between clear and dark modes in Windows 11.
This will happen in version 0.95 of Powertoys, according to Niels Laute, senior product director of Windows Platform. He said that the functionality will arrive next month (October 2025), as well as an alternated user interface for the keyboard manager tool. The option of moving automatically between clear and dark modes according to the defined calendar of a user is something that is strangely lacking, given the integration of light and dark modes in Windows and most of the main software at this stage. The developer’s update was identified by the penis.
In the meantime, the 0.94 version adds several smaller adjustments to PowerToys, including a search bar which allows you to find specific tools and parameters in PowerToys itself. Since the PowerToys application now includes more than two dozen separate tools / sections and hundreds of individual parameters, it is a welcome addition. Other modifications include a shortcut conflict manager and new options for the mouse pointer retication tool. You can download the latest version of Powertoys from Github.
