MLB news: Astros’ Framber Valdez accused of purposely drilling his own catcher

Houston Astros leaving the Framer Valdez launcher had trouble in the 7-1 defeat of the team against New York Yankees on Tuesday and seemed to broadcast his frustrations to his own recipient, César Salazar.

The Yankees led 2-0 in fifth round with the loaded bases and two withdrawals. The Yankees center player, Trent Grisham, struck and in front of Count 1-0.

The PAS clock ended on Valdez, and Salazar signaled with his hands so that Valdez leaves the mound and uses a waiting period. Valdez ignored Salazar and delivered the land barely before the expiration of the clock high.

Grisham jumped lead to 96 mph from Valdez in the left seats for a large home to make a 6-0 match.

In the next At-Bat, the Yankees Anthony Volpe Yankees stop and Valdez seemed to express his dissatisfaction with Salazar.

Valdez pulled a lead of 93 MPH just in Salazar’s chest, and the recipient was not prepared there. He missed the ball and struck it in his chest protector. Salazar looked at Valdez, who turned his back on him and returned to the mound after the field.

Salazar removed his mask and traveled a few steps towards the launcher’s mound before he returned the ball to Valdez.

The former MLB launcher and athletic diffuser, Dallas Braden, tweeted a video of the incident on X and said that it was “100% intentional” and called it “absolute trash behavior”.

Valdez was questioned after the match if she was intentional.

“No,” said Valdez. “It was not intentional.”

The 31 -year -old said he and Salazar had been crossed.

“What happened with us, we have just been crossed,” said Valdez in Spanish through a translator. “I called in this field, I threw him and we were crossed. We went down to the canoe, and I apologized with him. And I told him sorry, and I assume full responsibility.”

Salazar said after the match that he, not Valdez, supported the bad button and that it was not on purpose.

“The stadium was noisy,” said Salazar. “I thought I pressed the button, but I pressed the bad button. I expected another step, but that was not all.

“Me and get rid of, we actually have a very good relationship.”

Astros (76-63) – In particular Valdez and Salazar – will seek to change things when they play the Yankees (77-61) in the second match in their three -game series on Wednesday at 8:10 pm.
