Texas AG Ken Paxton Headlining ‘Gun Rights’ Event With Well-Known Jan. 6 Rioter

The highest official of the Application of Laws of Texas is expected to appear alongside a man known as “lucrative guy” who served a prison sentence to be among the crowds that burst into the American Capitol on January 6, 2021 to protest the electoral loss of President Donald Trump.
The attorney general of the state of Lone Star, Ken Paxton, who presents himself to the American Senate against his republican colleague, Senator John Cornyn, is one of the “special guests” at the head of a shooting event organized by the Texas Gun Rights group (TXGR) on September 13. Another of the “special guests” is Adam Johnson, who made the writing of the most recognizable faces of the 6 Riots. The electricity of the house of the house, Nancy Pelosi, in the corridors.
Recent polls show that Paxton and Cornyn, the holder, are in a tight race.
Paxton, whose campaign did not respond to a request for comments, has his own story with Trump’s efforts to overthrow the 2020 elections. As a prosecutor general, he brought legal action in the Supreme Court in December 2020 which sought to cancel the election by invalidating millions of ballots in four states of the battlefield. The prosecution was then rejected and a disciplinary committee of the Texas Bar of Texas subsequently filed a complaint of his own seeking to sanction Paxton for what he supported was a case based on “false statements and false statements”. Earlier this year, the Supreme Court of Texas rejected this prosecution.
In addition to playing a role in the legal efforts that were mounted by Trump allies to reverse his loss, Paxton went to Washington DC on January 6 and participated in at least one of the demonstrations preceding the Capitol storm. On this fateful day, Paxton appeared on stage during a rally where he praised his work to overthrow the elections.
“We will not stop fighting,” said Paxton. “We are Texans. We are Americans. And we don’t stop. “
While he shamelessly joined the fight against the loss of Trump on January 6, Paxton moved away from the violent crowds that stormed the Capitol. In February 2021, when he was asked about his participation in the events of the day by a state senator, Paxton said that he and his former wife “left after the speeches”.
“We went to lunch and people did what they did,” said Paxton.
One of these people was Johnson, who climbed a scaffolding and entered the Capitol building. Once inside, it was filmed by encouraging the crowd to break down the doors of the house room.
Johnson told his day on social networks, especially by publishing a Facebook photo which he subtitled “Riot !!!” With his own publications, Johnson found himself in a photo taken by the victory of Getty Images McNamee. The blow, which represented Johnson waving and totaling the desk, became one of the most emblematic images of the day. Johnson was first delighted with attention and boasted that he had “broken the internet”. However, following this photo, Johnson, who deleted his presence on social networks, was identified by knowledge.

At the beginning of 2022, Johnson pleaded guilty before a federal court and was sentenced to 75 days in prison and a fine of $ 5,000. At the time, Johnson apologized and called for his decision to pose with the prudence of Pelosi “very stupid”.
“I plead guilty because I’m guilty,” said Johnson.
Johnson’s advocacy agreement said that, for five years, the government would have rights to profits if he produced a book or “something of this nature” depending on the experience.
In January, a few days after his re -election, Trump forgave Johnson as well as almost all the people who had been condemned or who were waiting for the trial because of their participation in the riot of Capitol. After receiving his forgiveness, Johnson made statements minimizing his crime. Johnson also started to sell goods, including photos dedicated from himself inside the capital and clothes decorated with a silhouette of him carrying the pelosi desk. Based on the Internet archives, Johnson’s freight store has put online in February of this year, the month after receiving his forgiveness.
Johnson did not respond to a request for comments on his relationship with Paxton or to wonder if his forgiveness meant that the government would not benefit from its commercial efforts linked to January 6.
The appearance of Paxton with Johnson is one of the many examples of Republicans who join more and more with rioters on January 6 following Trump’s wave of forgiveness. The filming event which presents the pair is sponsored by several local politicians and GOP organizations in Texas.
TXGR, the group welcoming the filming of clay, presents itself as “the only non-compromised organization of firearms that exists”. The group did not respond to requests for comments. Other “special guests”, sponsors and “VIP shooters” who will participate in the event with Paxton and Johnson include the representative of the Wes Virdell (R) state, a “concealed sleeve model”, and a pro-Gun blogger known as “Pew Pew Jew” who wrote articles praising his property of a “Nazi pistol” of the World War II.
