Wait, What? Climate Scientist Says Sea Level Rising at Nowhere Near the Level They Claim – RedState

You know the exercise – According to DoomsDayers al Gore and Greta Thunberg, we are about to be swallowed by the ones up, and our civilization will soon be underwater.
It is a terribly sad result, but it is not the one that Dutch researchers have found in their studies:
A new study by a Dutch engineering consultant revealed that the increase in the average sea level in 2020 was around 1.5 millimeters per year, “significantly lower” to the 3 to 4 millimeters often projected by climatologists and the intergovernmental panel on climate change (IPCC).
Hessel Voortman and the researcher Rob of Vos checked real observations of more than 200 tidal stations against projections and models.
“It’s crazy that it was not done. I started to do this research in 2021 by reviewing literature.” Who made the comparison of projections with observations? “And there was none,” Voortman told independent journalist Michael Shellenberger.
Climate change will increase the oceans by 3 to 10 feet by the end of this century, scientists and the media said. Absurdity. A new global study, first of all global data from the real world, and not of models, finds no evidence that climate change has accelerated the elevation of sea level. Voortman noticed that his observations were not exactly gelifying with what the “international climate community” claimed, so he decided to put his theories under the microscope:
He decided to put his theory to the test of the whole world, by examining 200 stations of different tide caliber with at least 60 years of data to study.
“For the vast majority of stations, the differences between the two curves were not significant,” said Voortman, adding that this did not indicate any detectable acceleration in sea level.
For more than a quarter of a century, the main climatologists of the world and the information media have warned that the climate change caused by man has doubled the level of elevation of the sea level and thus put civilization in serious danger. “We will see at least four feet of sea level elevation and maybe … pic.twitter.com/dmmbjklml3

“We will see at least four feet of elevation in sea level and perhaps ten at the end of the century,” wrote The New York Times“David Wallace Wells in 2019.” The oceans we know will not survive climate change, “said The Atlantic That same year. The author, Robinson Meyer, quoted the estimates of Michael Oppenheimer of Princeton University that sea level would increase by more than 34 inches in 2100.

Voortman says that the existential threat predicted by so much of our scientists simply does not happen:
The vast majority of traditional scientific studies have underlined a spectacular acceleration in the elevation of sea level in the past three decades after the introduction of satellite imagery.
But Voortman claims that sea level was in fact in a “hollow” in 1993 and a “peak” in 2020, and that these fluctuations were taken into account, there is no detectable level of the sea level.
Among the stations that Voortman has studied, which have underlined a significant increase in sea level, most were located near others that have shown negligible changes in recent decades, “which makes the cause of a global phenomenon like global warming based on CO2,” said Voortman.
We must of course be aware of the effects of the environment constantly evolving and do what we have to do to ensure the continuation of our species. But repeatedly, the wild predictions of these climatic hysterics have proven to be exaggerated, even while they collect millions of dollars in green energy projects and “consultants”.
As our Ward Clark often points out, the climate is still changing – it has been for billions of years and will continue to do so. The best thing we can do is not listen to the crowd of misfortune and frantic sadness, but look for ways to manage everything that is happening.
