YouTube is injecting more AI into your recommendations

While YouTube fills with more AI videos, the company is also based on its own AI tools, injecting more recommendations fueled by AI in its platform for certain users.
The new search tool powered by AI is available for premium users on mobile devices. When looking for things related to purchases, places or things to do in a specific place, users can be displayed a video carousel powered by AI with results.
Not all queries will translate into a carousel, but those who do it should include more relevant videos.
YouTube announces new AI tools for its creators: Veo, Communities, Auto-Dubing, and more
Thus, for example, if you are looking for “the best beaches in Hawaii”, YouTube will display a carousel generated by AI with clips of several videos and descriptions accompanying the videos presented.

YouTube also extends its conversational AI tool to certain non-premium users in the United States. These users can try the AI tool, asking for more information, related recommendations and summaries.
In April, Google announced that a feature fueled by AI arrived on YouTube, “providing another way of discovering content during research on YouTube as well as discovering subjects and information related to your research request.” YouTube belongs to Google, which introduced new AI research tools in Google research, including IA and IA mode. These two tools are fueled by the Gemini AI models of Google, and it is not a surprise that Google will take advantage of Gemini for YouTube.
Thus, after having tested a research on AI on YouTube with certain American users, the official deployment is here.
Premium users can now try it for themselves.
