Eric Adams Says He is the ‘Only One that Can Beat Mamdani’

The mayor of New York (NYC), Eric Adams (D), said that he would remain in the race for the mayor of New York, noting that he was the “only candidate for the mayor of New York, Zohran Mamdani (D).
“I want to be clear with you,” he, who presents himself as independent in the race for New York town hall, said Friday. “Andrew Cuomo is a snake and a liar. I am in this race, and I am the only one who can beat Mamdani. ”
Adams continued to criticize the former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) to “have a career to repel black shopping candidates”.
“This city cannot go back, New Yorkers,” said Adams. “It is a city that I inherited, where crime was out of control, simultaneous, no one wanted to be on our metro system. We looked at what had happened in the accommodation. The reason why people have these conversations is because I make the city sure, I have signed up and I devoted myself to a city that I like and I will continue to do this. ”
Adams’ words come like the New York Times Previously, “three people knowing” talks had declared to the point of sale that the “advisers” of President Donald Trump had possibly proposed to Adams a position in the Trump administration, in order to give Cuomo “a better chance to defeat” Mamdani:
The talks also consisted in finding a possible place in the administration for the republican candidate, Curtis Sliwa.
The goal, said the people, would be to give the former governor Andrew Mr. Cuomo a better chance of defeating Mr. Mamdani, the Democratic candidate, during the general elections of November.
Mamdani, who campaigned on socialist policies, won the Democrat primary for the mayor of New York in early July.
Breitbart News reported that in a 2021 video, Mamdani “proposed to buy private property to” convert “them into municipalities”:
The assembly of New York State, which beat the former governor Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary last week, argued that the solution to the “American housing crisis” makes the government “fully commit to a new era of social housing” in a video entitled “How the Socialists resolved the housing crisis”.
“To go further towards the Vienna model, we will have to go beyond the market,” said Mamdani. “We can establish community land trusts to gradually buy housing on the private market and convert it into community ownership.”
Mamdani also launched the idea of creating grocery stores managed by the city and faced criticism from survivors of domestic violence for comments he made during a podcast in July 2020 where he spoke “against the sending” of police officers to respond to calls for domestic violence.
