In a few minutes, Ole Miss and Kentucky both lost their starting quarters in the second half of their dry confrontation. Ole Miss lost Austin Simmons because of an apparent leg injury, and the appellant of Kentucky Signal Zach Calzada left after injuring the shoulder on a jet.

A little more halfway in the third quarter, Simmons left the match with an apparent leg injury after having a knee below on a clumsy tackle. Simmons was slow to get up and could not put any weight on his left leg while the coaches helped him enter the injury tent.

The quarter of the Trinidad Chambliss rebels took over for Ole Miss for the following possession. Chambliss, a transfer of Ferris State, tried only six passes on Ole Miss’s opening victory against Georgia State. Simmons was 13 on 24 for 235 yards and two interceptions when he left the match. He also rushed eight times for 44 yards and a score.

A few minutes after Simmons’ injury, the Kentucky took the ground for his next possession, and the first -year cutter of Redshirt Boley had replaced Calzada, who was seen being trendy. During his last launch of previous possession of Kentucky, Calzada seemed to change something in his shoulder. He stood on the touch with his helmet while Boley put the next Wildcats journey.

Calzada went 15 out of 30 for 149 yards before being forced to go out.
