‘This Is My Last Warning’ – RedState

Hamas, shaking in the Gaza rubble, always holds, by the best estimates, 50 hostages. It is believed that only 20 of them are still alive. Now, President Trump, addressing the media assembled on Sunday, published what seems to be an ultimatum for Hamas, demanding the release of all hostages.
President Donald Trump issued his “last warning” to Hamas to accept his agreement and release the remaining hostages or to face the consequences.
“Everyone wants hostages at home. Everyone wants this war to end,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “The Israelis have accepted my conditions. It is time for Hamas to accept also.”
“I warned Hamas from the consequences of not accepting,” he continued. “This is my last warning, there will not be another! Thank you for your attention to this question.”
Last month, Trump said the remaining hostages only returned when Hamas is “confronted and destroyed”. At the time, Hamas quoted alleged progress in the cease-fire talks.
I will predict you that Hamas will not accept any condition in the United States or Israel. If they were interested in a ceasefire, they would have already accepted an offer. And if they accepted a ceasefire, it would only be to buy time, reward, recruit, train and generally prepare for the next attack. If there is one thing that we should be able to determine in the history of Hamas, as well as the history of all these Islamic terrorist groups, it is that they cannot trust further than a little one can launch an aircraft carrier.
It is Israel’s fight, granted, but the United States has an interest in seeing Hamas withdraw from the region. The Americans were also taken hostage on October 7, and all the Americans in the region may well be taken in the event of a recidivism of the October 7 attack.
It is not the first ultimatum of this type that Hamas ignored.
In July, the United States and Israel fired Qatar negotiators after Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff said Hamas showed “lack of desire to reach a ceasefire” and probably did not negotiate in good faith.
On August 26, Witkoff told Bret Baier de Fox News on “special report” that he and Trump wanted the hostages to be at home that week.
“There has been an agreement on the table in the last six or seven weeks which would have published 10 of the hostages out of the 20 which, in our opinion, are alive,” he said, noting that he believes that Hamas is “100%” to blame for maintenance.
Hamas is “100%” to blame for everything that happened in Gaza and Israel, each act of terror, each murder, each atrocity, since (and, frankly, before) on October 7, 2023.

Israel is now preparing another offensive against Hamas and has issued warnings so that civilians leave the areas in which the Israeli Defense forces (FDI) will move to hire Hamas. Although we can appreciate Israel’s attempts to minimize deaths and injuries among civilians, not only that is said precisely Hamas where the FDI will engage, but the liberation of civilians also allows Hamas fighters to change clothes and blend into the population, escaping to fight another day. This occurred in Iraq in 2003 and should also occur here.
There is simply no easy answer to this problem, but one thing remains certain: there will be no peace, no stability, no security in Gaza or in Israel until Hamas is completely and completely withdrawn from the Board of Directors.
