Shock Jock Howard Stern was a non -presentation in Siriusxm on Monday after almost 20 years with the Satellite radio service – at least it seemed.

Fans listening to what was supposed to have been a big announcement of Stern was surprised to hear Andy Cohen filling up for the high radio host in Long Island, born of 71 years.

“I know that you are waiting for a big announcement of Howard and that is not what things were supposed to go,” admitted Cohen, sailing on what he called a “surreal morning”.

Even the Associated Press has executed a title indicating that “Howard Stern is moving away from Siriusxm” around 7 am after Cohen seemed to announce the exit of Stern after weeks of speculation and negotiations to conclude a new agreement.

The chain which formerly carried the Stern’s program was renamed “Andy 100”, according to the host who helped to make the franchise “Real Housewives” famous.

Stern ended the farce after about 10 minutes by coming on the air and assuring supporters that he is “very happy at Siriusxm”, without confirming that he had reached a new agreement to keep it there when his contract expires at the end of the year.

Stern signed a huge agreement in 2004 to leave the “land radio” for the Radio Network satellite. This 5 -year contract, which entered into force in 2006, was worth around $ 100 million a year, according to the New York Times.

He reappeared with Siriusxm in 2010, then in 2020, signed another five -year contract for a non -disclosed after having assured the listeners that he would not take the “AF -King wage reduction”.

Since the signing of Stern, Siriusxm had to compete for listeners with a myriad of other platforms, including live podcasts. The company underwent a net loss of 100,000 subscribers between 2024 and 2025, but still reports around 33 million listeners paid.

The shock jock has apparently softened in the decades that followed waterfalls like presenting itself to the 1992 VMA disguised as a “Fartman” superhero.

This blow was followed by a brief governor’s race which ended in 2024 with Stern withdrawing his candidacy as a libertarian candidate who supported the death penalty.

His liberal policy in recent years has included strong criticism from President Trump, who has frequently appeared in his radio broadcasts before entering politics. Stern told Trump supporters in 2020 “The Trump people most despise the most.”

Many severe supporters quickly disturbed themselves on their idol.

“It is not the guy I grew up listening,” said Sean Hannity distraught his Fox News viewers in 2019.

Hearing Stern could leave the airwaves last month, Trump said, “We had fun, but I haven’t heard this name for a long time”.
