Senate Republicans begin to change rules to clear backlog of Trump nominees

The head of the majority of the Senate, John Thune, said on Monday that he planned to start “the procedural measures necessary to modify the rules” so that the Republicans can confirm the candidates of President Trump more quickly that Democrats universally obstruct.
