Apple recently announced the features of the new series 11 and the Apple Ultra 3 watches. Type of display and brightness
The new Ultra 3 Apple Watch has the most impressive display of all the watches I will discuss here today. The wide angle OLED make the screen visible from more angles, and LPTO3 technology means that it attracts much less power. These features mainly benefit from the display always on, because now even the inactive version of the screen can update every second, and you can easily see the screen without raising it on your wrist. The maximum brightness is 3,000 nits.
The Apple Watch Series 11 does not have the updates every second, but it includes OLED with wide angle to be more visible when seen at an angle. The maximum brightness is 2,000 nits.
The Pixel Watch 3 has none of these new features, but it has a light screen at 2,000 nits. The Pixel Watch 4, due on store shelves in October, uses a dome -shaped screen and has a brightness of 3,000 nits.
Battery life
The Apple Watch Ultra has always had an impressive battery life compared to the other models of Apple Watch, and the Ultra 3 is no exception. Ultra 3 has a 42 -hour battery life, according to Apple, extending to 72 hours in low power mode.
The 11 series obtains up to 24 hours in regular use, extending to 38 hours in low power mode.
The Pixel Watch 3 obtains 24 hours in regular use and 36 with the battery saving – is not identical to the Apple Watch Series 11. The next Pixel Watch 4 improves on this subject, with 30 to 40 hours of regular use (depending on the size you look at) and 48 to 72 hours with a battery.
Health and fitness characteristics
The new Apple watches will finally have a sleep score, which is a functionality that Pixel watches have long have been via the Fitbit application (which is its native application for health characteristics). It is not a particularly useful metric, because it cannot be validated; I would not put too much stock in the sleep score of an application. But Apple shows that it catches up with other devices by offering an easy -to -read partition instead of simply separate measurements.
Apple also provides for notifications for signs of high blood pressure, assuming that it obtains the necessary regulatory approval. (Whoop recently got into trouble with the FDA for the implementation of an unprecedented blood pressure function; Apple is more prudent.) Pixel watches do not have an arterial functionality, although it is not clear if intelligent watches are good for monitoring blood pressure in the first place.
The latest version of Apple’s Watchos is delivered with Workout Buddy, a voice that gives discussions on PEP during your training sessions (assuming your iPhone is quite new). Pixel watches don’t have that, but the Pixel Watch 4 will include a fitness coach AI as part of a Premium Fitbit subscription. The subscription is $ 9.99 / month, and you get six months for free with a new device.

Connectivity
The Apple Watch Series 11 and Ultra 3 have both connectivity with 5G and LTE networks in their compatible cellular models. The Apple Watch Ultra 3 also offers satellite messaging, so that you can reach emergency services and inform your friends and family even without a cellular connection.
The Pixel Watch 3 has only 4G LTE in its models with a cellular complacency, but the Pixel Watch 4 also has a SOS satellite function.
