An earthquake of magnitude 6.0 rocked eastern Afghanistan near the Pakistani border. The epicenter of the earthquake on Sunday evening was near the town of Jalalabad in the province of Nangarhar. A spokesman for the Nangarhar Public Health Department said 15 people had been injured and taken to the hospital. The US Geological Survey said that the earthquake was centered at around 17 miles in the east-north of the city and was only 5 miles deep. Less deep earthquakes tend to cause more damage.
