President Donald Trump delivered a prime-time address to the nation Wednesday, declaring military success against Iran and pleading for what he said will be several more weeks of war. “We’re going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks. We’re going to take them back to the Stone Age, where they belong,” he says. Iran responded by saying the United States had not destroyed key targets and would not open the Strait of Hormuz. NBC’s Gabe Gutierrez reports and Meet the Press moderator Kristen Welker joins TODAY to discuss how lawmakers are reacting to the president’s military goals.
